The mask man

At Oberoi Mall Entrance

As Veer arrived, Adi immediately hugged him. Tiara rolled her eyes quietly while Adri gave a polite smile.

Adi: “Tiara, Adri — meet my best friend, Rudra Veer Singh.”

Veer gave a small nod, his eyes casually scanning over Tiara… lingering longer than needed.

Veer: “Let’s go, guys.”

Adi: “Yeah, come on!”

---

Inside the Oberoi Mall

They entered together — but the aura around them changed the whole air.

Everyone stared. Especially him.

The Rudra Veer Singh — Mumbai’s most feared and respected business tycoon — walking through the crowd like royalty.

But Tiara? She couldn’t care less.

Soon they reached the women’s clothing section. And that’s where the chaos began.

Tiara and Adri were jumping between dresses, colours, fabrics, and styles — like two kids in a candy store.

20 minutes passed.

Then another 40.

Adi: (sighing) “What’s taking them so long?”

Veer: (checking his watch) “Typical.”

After almost 2 hours, the girls finally finished trying on their 37th outfit.

Tiara: “Okay done! No more trials now.”

Adi: “Thank God.”

Veer: “finally god bless us”

---

Tiara requested a drive through Marine Drive before dinner. Adi didn’t refuse — and even Veer silently agreed.

Later, they stopped at a cozy restaurant with rooftop seating.

As they sat:

Adi: “You both order whatever you want.”

Tiara: “Yayy! One plate chilli chicken, mixed fried rice, and Blue Lagoon for me!”

Adri: “Noodles, one burger, and a Coke!”

Adi: “Bro, what about you?”

Veer: “Just pasta.”

Adi: “Same here.”

He stood to place the order.

Veer: “Sit. I’ll go.”

Veer walked to the counter — calm on the outside.

But just as he turned to return, his eyes locked onto a boy sitting in the corner — staring at Tiara with a dirty grin.

Something snapped inside him.

His fists clenched.

But not now. Not in front of her.

He walked calmly to the washroom, pulled out his phone, and made the call.

---

Veer in Call -

Veer: “Chaitan, sending you a photo and location. I want him with me tonight. I don’t care how.”

Chaitan: “Yes boss.”

Veer ended the call and stared at his reflection in the mirror. Cold. Controlled. Dangerous.

He went back and sat beside Tiara.

---

At the Table

Tiara: “Hey ‘brother’, why did you take so long?”

Veer: “Washroom. And stop calling me that.”

Tiara: (confused) “Huh? Why?”

Veer: “I’m not your brother. Don’t say that again. My name is Rudra Veer Singh. Use it.”

Tiara: (mocking) “Ooookay, Mr. Singh. Eat before your ego burns the food.”

She looked away, pretending to focus on her Blue Lagoon, while mentally cursing him.

Tiara (in her head):

> Rude, arrogant, bossy, cold-blooded… who does he think he is, president?

I was trying to be NICE and this guy talks like I’m his employee.

You’re lucky you’re Adi’s friend, Rudraveer Singh.

Dinner continued with low tension and heavy silence. But Veer? He was waiting for darkness to fall.

---

Somewhere in Mumbai – Veer’s Private Den

Veer stepped out of his black Rolls Royce. The giant iron doors opened as his men bowed with silent respect.

Inside, a boy was tied to a wooden chair, mouth gagged, shivering like a leaf.

Six men in black stood around, armed with Smith & Wesson revolvers.

Veer walked in, slowly.

The boy’s gag was removed. He instantly began crying.

Boy: “Sir… please… I didn’t do anything!”

Veer: “No, you didn’t do anything... except look at my girl.”

Boy: “I swear I didn’t mean it! Please, I won’t do it again!”

Veer sat in front of him, crossed his legs, lit his cigarette and stared in silence. The boy’s panic filled the air.

Then came the final words — calm, quiet, deadly.

Veer: “I don’t give second chances. You looked at what’s mine.”

Bang.

One shot. Straight through the forehead.

No scream. Just silence.

Veer stood, adjusted his watch, and walked out as if nothing happened.

Back into his car. Back into the night.

Back with her thoughts.
